Steps to Success: Get Started, Keep Going and Overcome Challenges - radionica za nastavnike (na engleskom jeziku)

Whether you have taught for over a decade or you are fairly new to teaching, bringing technology in the classroom can feel overwhelming or intimidating. That feeling is normal. You may not even know what questions to ask yet. This workshop for teachers will introduce you to successes and challenges we experienced along the way to developing Renton Preparatory Christian School, a Microsoft Showcase School, and one of 17 global schools selected to be part of the Microsoft Flagship Schools program. You will hear strategies for teachers as collaborators and learning designers with technology. You will learn how to use guidelines from International Society for Technology in Education Standards for Students and Educators. You will also collaborate to practice strategies for what you can do when technology fails or does not run smoothly. Technology also gives new opportunities to help students demonstrate their knowledge. You will see examples of student work for children ages 4-16. You will leave with free tools, resources that you can try in your classroom next week, and a new network of global educators.
